Bridge leads with PGD/PGS

Professor Alan Handyside, the UK pioneer of Pre-Implantation Genetic Diagnosis and screening, leads the Bridge team as Director supported by Dr Alan Thornhill PhD, Scientific Director.

These world-renowned specialists bring unique expertise to our Embryology Department and we have HFEA approval to provide diagnostic services to detect a range of hereditary diseases and will be shortly be providing aneuploidy screening for better embryo selection - an important benefit, especially for the older patient.

If you would like to make an appointment to discuss PGD/PGS, please call Charlotte Bancroft on 020 7403 3363.

Beware, Male Infertility is often diagnosed inaccurately - we can help

Our regular Saturday morning PESA/TESE clinics continue to be an outstanding success and a very large proportion of supposedly 'infertile' patients produce sufficient sperm for IVF/ICSI. Many of these patients were told they could never father their own children - but they can...

Make Your Views Known

An important part of our work is to make our patients' views known to the HFEA and the media and we have now established a confidential email panel for this purpose.

We'd like to hear from non-patients too. Click on Update to find out more.

An important message about Egg Sharing

We urgently need more egg sharers and altruistic donors for our expanding Egg Sharing Programme.

Even so, there is tremendous and heart-warming news as pregnancy rates from this programme are good and there is a spirit of calm confidence which is good for both donors and recipients. Click on Sharing and Donor Programmes to find out more.

Rising Success Rates

Our results for January-December 2007 for patients of all ages show rising success rates on pregnancy tests per egg collection and embryo transfer.

At Bridge, we set no medical criteria for treatment which would increase our success rates and are proud of our record for treating difficult cases and older patients.
