Our Successes - see our very latest results
We feel it is essential that the most up-to-date results are available to show how the centre is performing today - we feel they are more helpful than historical results which reflect patient profiles and treatment regimes of up to 2-3 years ago. The results you see reflect our caseload which includes a high proportion of difficult cases which come to Bridge based on our expertise in genetics, repeated IVF failure and recurrent miscarriage.

Donor Sperm
We have good supplies of Caucasian sperm, also Asian sperm, and there is no need to wait for treatment.

Mind/Body Programme
A message from Mohamed Menabawey

Our next Mind/Body course begins on 2nd September. Places are available. You don't have to be a Bridge patient to join. Call 020 7089 1453 for details or go to www.bridgemind-body.co.uk

Cancer Screening
Bridge now offers cancer screening following the HFEA's decision to allow PGD for inherited predisposition to cancer.

Bridge at ESHRE 2008
The Bridge team made a huge contribution to Europe's most important meeting on human reproduction and embryology in 2008 - a briefing can be found here.

Preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) for chromosomal translocations
About 1 in 500 of us have a chromosome translocation in which part of one chromosome has been exchanged for another. As there is typically no loss or gain of genetic material - the translocation is 'balanced' - this has no effect on the individual but there is a high risk that eggs or sperm will inherit an 'unbalanced' combination often resulting in repeated miscarriage or abnormal pregnancy.

The HFEA has now granted Bridge a general licence to screen for abnormal numbers of the translocated chromosomes using a similar approach to preimplantation genetic screening (PGS) for aneuploidy (abnormal chromosome number). Developing a test for a specific translocation takes about a month and, if the translocation carrier is male, we can also offer sperm screening to estimate the level of risk. For enquiries, please contact Charlotte Bancroft - 020 7403 3363.

our_belief
It is our belief that fertility assessment and treatment must support the rights and freedom of consenting individuals to make responsible choices within the very wide range of laws, rules, guidelines and ethics which govern this important and sensitive issue.
